Deus Ex: The Fall’s Steam Release Brought Forward by a Week

March 10, 2014 by Stephen Daly

The game will now be releasing on March 18th rather than March 25th.

Deus Ex: The Fall will now be released a week early, on March 18th rather than March 25th, Square Enix has announced in an update on its website. Community Manager Lee Williams said:

"So you know how we said that we were going to release Deus Ex: The Fall on Steam later this month? We said March 25 was the day we’d be releasing the game.

"Sorry. We lied.

"We’re actually ready to go early, so rather than wait for the ‘official’ release date, we thought we’d just release it earlier instead. So the game will now be available on March 18 – woo!"

The original Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition is bundled with The Fall and if you pre-order the game you can start playing that right away.

The Fall, set in 2027, sees players take on the role of Ben Saxon, a former British soldier turned mercenary who has been betrayed by his private military employers, the Tyrants. The game was originally released last year for iOS devices.
