This LEGO: The Hobbit Trailer Might Surprise You

There's a new trailer for LEGO: The Hobbit which is probably not what you'd expect from the game which is being released on April 8th in North America and April 11th in Europe. 

The 'Buddy-Up' trailer, which you can see below, is all about teaming up with your friends to venture across Middle Earth as Bilbo and co. 

LEGO: The Hobbit includes the first two movies of Peter Jackson's adaptation of Tolkien's book; The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. 

The final movie, The Hobbit: There and Back Again, is set for cinema release this December but there's no word yet on whether it too will be getting the game treatment. 

LEGO: The Hobbit is in development for Nintendo 3DS, PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Wii U, Xbox 360, and Xbox One while a PS3 bundle containing a copy of the game has also been revealed. You can check out the game's announcement trailer here.
