Titanfall Rumor Blowout: Maps, Campaign Details, Even The Creatures Are Revealed

March 3, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

Respawn has yet to dispel any of this information, but they could always change things up at release just to mess with us.

A massive Titanfall leak has revealed new screenshots and information. Among other things, we now have our 1st look at the creatures of the Titanfall game world.

Said creatures will apparently stay benign until they come in contact with players. You so much as look at them and they will go after you.

Other newly revealed elements are turrets and ziplines. As you may imagine, the turrets are flat out death traps. They are usually locked onto the tops of buildings, and feature tracking systems, a huge range of motion, and full autonomy. They can switch sides with the use of a data knife, and are so powerful it would take a Titan to take them out.

Ziplines can be used both ways, and can be latched onto even mid-air. Latching on just requires you press hold on the reload button.

Regeneration, which we covered in a previous post, is reconfirmed here. We also confirmed several game modes, namely, Attrition, Capture The Flag, Hardpoint Domination, Last Titan Standing, and Pilot Hunter.

In Pilot Hunter, points are awarded for each Pilot killed, so really, they’re all you should go after. Killing Grunts and Spectres won’t add to your score, although Titan and Titan Core Ability respawn times will go down.

There are also nine multiplayer campaign matches, made up of five Attrition and Four Hardpoint games. You can play either the IMC or Militia, complete with pre-match briefings and team chat.

Finally, we’re sharing for you below pictures of nine of the fifteen maps, as well as a peek at these mysterious creatures. FWIW, Respawn hasn’t issued any denials yet, and they really haven’t stopped people from sharing info found via bugs in the beta either. There’s always the possibility some or all of this will be changed, but in the meantime, here’s a peek at what’s waiting for you in Titanfall.
