You Can Only Play the Three Hottest 2014 Games on Xbox One, Says Microsoft

February 26, 2014 by Josiah Renaudin

If you’re looking to play the best games of the year, Microsoft thinks you need to own an Xbox One.

Last year was just the start of the next-generation movement. Sure, we got two big consoles in November, but all the games that we’re excited to play on either the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One aren’t launching until 2014 and beyond.

One of the most hotly anticipated projects scheduled to release this March is Titanfall, which Xbox UK marketing director Harvey Eagle believes is one of the three games that gamers are most excited to get their hands on in 2014. Fortunately for Eagle, if you want to play all three of these titles, you need to own an Xbox One.

“I'd say that Titanfall is a game that has won more than 80 awards so far. It's incredibly hotly anticipated, and I believe it's a game that people will buy an Xbox One in order to play,” he explained to OXM. “But moving forward, if you think about what I think are the three hottest games of the year to come – Titanfall, Watch Dogs and Destiny – the only place you're going to be able to play all three of those games is on Xbox One.”

Those are the three games that stick out to Eagle, but I’m pretty sure plenty of people would disagree with the list. Either way, the software lineup for the Xbox One should help infuse the console with some momentum.
