Watch Dogs has been subject to many a rumor since its announcement two years ago. Earlier this year, a rumor surfaced that the game had been canceled in its entirety after someone malicious had fraudulently initiated the “express abandonment” of its trademark (via GameSpot).
Today’s rumor involves a pop-up advertisement on the official PlayStation blog which reads, “Watch_Dogs is on its way… Find out the release date in this new trailer.” You can see it on the right in the image below:
The advertisement has since been removed, but not before screencaps were taken and posted on NeoGAF.
It’s unknown when the trailer will actually be published, but it shouldn’t be too long now.
