Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls Preorder Bonuses Revealed

The continuation of the Diablo saga, Reaper of Souls, is almost upon us. Today, the game's publisher, Blizzard, announced special pre-order bonuses for the game for anyone who pre-purchases the digital copy on Battle.net, or anyone who redeems a Reaper of Souls retail game key on or before March 31, 2014.

Here's what you get for doing that:

Wings of Valor: Summon the radiant wings of the Archangel of Valor for your characters in Diablo III.

Valla the Demon Hunter: Unlock Valla the Demon Hunter in Heroes of the Storm—our upcoming free-to-play online team brawler featuring iconic Blizzard characters, fast-paced combat, and epic battlegrounds.

If you already pre-purchased a digital copy of the game, either as the standard edition or Digital Deluxe edition, you won't have to do anything else. These items will be automatically unlocked for your Battle.net account.

Interestingly, one of the items is a bonus character to be unlocked in Blizzard's currently unreleased game, Heroes of the Storm. It's the first we've seen of the game's potential for microtransactions, and implies that the upcoming title will be using a model similar to League of Legends instead of DOTA 2. It remains to be seen whether the character unlock is merely a skin for the previously revealed Demon Hunter character class in Heroes of the Storm or whether it'll be uniquely playable as its own character.
