With Nintendo's live presentation today came a roster update on Mario Kart 8, revealing that the Koopalings will be joining the race.
This news is perhaps unsurprisingly given their recent appearances in New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Super Mario 3D World, where the colorful and uncouth crew reprised their roles as castle bosses. Check them out in the gameplay footage below, where you'll also get a glimpse of the game's new gravity-defying effects. Mario Kart 8 is expected on the Wii U on May 30, 2014.
