Monolith Soft’s ‘X’ Gets Uninterrupted Gameplay Footage

February 13, 2014 by Ian Miles Cheong

Some uninterrupted gameplay footage of Monolith Soft’s newest game, X, was showcased on Nintendo Direct.

Monolith Soft, the makers of Xenoblade Chronicles and a host of other excellent titles, has revealed new gameplay footage for their upcoming Wii U-exclusive title, X. Aside from making the game virtually impossible to search for on Google, the game looks absolutely fantastic.

The footage showcases the game's battle system, which is said to be based on the one in Xenoblade Chronicles, and offers a glimpse of the game's use of combo attacks involving a sword, a minigun, and even a gigantic mech.

There's a lot of yelling in Japanese as the characters bellow their attack orders at each other while unleashing mass mayhem on the screen, with damage numbers popping up here and there. This is what video games are made of.
