Styx: Master of Shadow Gets its First Stealth Action Trailer

February 13, 2014 by Stephen Daly

You play as a 200 year old goblin who’s surprisingly murderous for his age.

The developer of the Game of Thrones RPG Cyanide Studios are back with their next offering, Styx: Master of Shadows which looks decidedly more promising than the developer's venture into Westeros.

Styx, the titular hero, is a 200 year old goblin, the very first of his kind, and he's said to be a master of stealth, theft, and assassination. Based in the Tower of Akenash, Styx: Master of Shadows sees players attempt to scale the tower in seach of wealth and knowledge of Styx's true origins.

The game brings together fantasy staples like elves and orcs but it's certainly interesting that gamers are cast as a goblin. If this month Thief disappoints Styx could be just what the stealth action genre needs.

Either way, you can check out the trailer for the game. Cyanide has not yet announced a release date or launch platforms for Styx: Master of Shadows which is being published by Focus Interactive.
