Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII’s Lara Croft Trailer

February 5, 2014 by Stephen Daly

Claire can take on the end of the world dressed as Lara Croft.

Square Enix has released a new cross-promotional trailer for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII which reveals that you will be able to dress protagonist Claire 'Lightning' Farron as Lara Croft.

Announcing the promotion, Square said:

"Two heroines who have survived against all the odds come together in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. Equip Lightning with the battle-tested gear of Tomb Raider's Lara Croft, including the Tomb Raider outfit, Survivor's Axe, and Riot Shield."

While the two games may not have anything to do with each other this wouldn't the first time the Lightning series has had some unusual marketing. Final Fantasy XIII-2's characters appeared in Prada magazine while Mass Effect uniforms were available to download for Noel and Serah.

You'll be able to download the costume when the game launches in North America on February 11th and in Europe on February 14th for PS3 and Xbox 360.
