Nintendo Offering 60% Discounts With Super Indie Connection Sale

January 30, 2014 by Holly Green

If you own one, you can get 60% off the rest, so get in on this deal before the two weeks is up.

Beginning today and lasting through the next two weeks, Nintendo is offering some deep discounts on a handful of indie titles in their online stores. During this Super Indie Connection Sale, if you own at least one of the following or purchase one at full price during the promotion, you will get the second (or third, fourth, and fifth) at 60% off: Spin the Bottle: Bumpie's Party, Runner 2, Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, Toki Tori 2, and Mighty Switch Force! Hyper Drive Edition.

Ending February 13, the sale is an interesting one, sandwiched between an ever growing demand for indie titles on major consoles  and the many indie sales online, from Steam's frequent mega blowouts to the constant Humble Indie Bundles. Nintendo has never been known third-party friendly, so it's surprising to see any indie games on their consoles at all, much less a sale. But hey if you have the money, definitely pick up Runner 2, among Gameranx's top ten games of 2013.
