Images of Left 4 Dead 2 Running in Source 2 Leak

January 27, 2014 by Josiah Renaudin

New screenshots of Valve’s Left 4 Dead 2 show a much prettier version of the zombie-infested shooter.

We’re yet to see solid confirmation that Left 4 Dead 3 is in development, but leaked screenshots of the second cooperative zombie game running in Source Engine 2 have at least given us a glimpse of what the eventual sequel might look like.

NeoGAF leaker CBOAT was the sleuth who posted a screencap of the above PowerPoint, which showcases Left 4 Dead 2 running in Valve’s latest engine. As you’d imagine, there’s a great deal more detail coming through in this updated edition of the game, which can be easily noticed when compared to the original screenshot of the plantation level below.

Now, this doesn’t confirm Left 4 Dead 3, but it at least keeps the series fresh in our minds. More than anything, this is just a nice opportunity to see an engine that hasn’t been shown to the public too often up until this point.
