Kojima Tweets Pics Of MGS 5 Ground Zeroes Toys, Vita Remote Play, Promo Box

January 20, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

Kojima has been in the frame of mind of hyping Ground Zeroes without revealing anything about the game.

Hideo Kojima has posted a few more pictures to tease Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes. With these pics he is showing off playing the game on the Vita and the upcoming action figures.

This is not "TRANSFARRING" but remote play. By using PS4 as family cloud environment, you can play it outside.Finaly! pic.twitter.com/ofSIAU9bU7

First off, Kojima is not porting Ground Zeroes to the Vita. However, the game will be playable on it via Remote Play. He does cite that the game looks good on the small screen, indicating how Vita and PS3 graphics look very similar to the naked eye. Presumably, this will work on all the Vita models, including Vita TV, so that gives hardcore fans additional opportunities for playtime.

The toys will be made by SquareEnix’s PlayArts Kai. He showed off prototypes of Skull Head’s face and hat, as well as what appears to be a near complete Quiet figure. Of course, it makes sense that the Quiet design could be finished quickly since the facial and motion capture for the character was completed very recently. Still, I have a feeling that this action figure will make fans recall an embarrassing episode with Kojima from last year. Personal opinions aside, PlayArts Kai makes stunningly detailed, well-articulated figures, and I have no doubts that the toys will be great collectibles.

Finally, here’s a picture fans may have missed: Kojima showed off the posters and boxes that will be used to advertise Ground Zeroes. Fans abroad can probably expect to see these in stores where they live as well.
