Respawn Entertainment's first game, Titanfall, will feature sniping a developer under the handle 'scriptacus' has announced on the studio's forums.
However, the representative cautioned that sniping will not work as veteran shooter players might expect it to:
"Sniping is in the game, but due to how the game plays it's a pretty different animal than you'll find in your run of the mill modern military shooter. Quick scoping and no-scoping are ineffective."
Quick scoping refers to the practice of firing a sniper rifle when the reticle lines up with the target instead of aiming down the rifle's scope. No-scoping, as the name suggests, is the practice of shooting a target without using the gun's scope.
Titalfall is set for release on March 11th on PC, Xbox 360, and Xbox One and will never be released on PlayStation platforms though its sequels might. You can check out the latest trailer for the game, featuring the Atlas mech, here.
