The Pokemon Bank application, which is an online feature built for X and Y, just rolled out in Japan for all fans to enjoy, but server instability due to the massive demand of online creature banking has forced Nintendo to remove the application from the eShop.
Pokemon players in the United States and Europe are eagerly anticipating the bank’s launch tomorrow, but it’s unclear at this time whether they’ll actually see it. Nintendo has witnessed continued service issues on the eShop that, according to an official statement, have been caused by the release of this Pokemon Bank. Rolling this feature out in two new territories might just be too much for the poor eShop to handle at this time.
It’s unclear at this time when the bank will make its return to the Japanese store, but the free 30-day trial will restart when the application does become available again. With sales for the long-running franchise through the roof this year, you can expect a long line of online trainers waiting for the service’s return.
