Neverwinter and Blacklight: Retribution Publisher Create Console Game Division

Perfect World Entertainment, publisher for Neverwinter and Blacklight: Retribution, expanded the company by creating a console game division targeting releases for current and next generation consoles.

Perfect World wants to bring free-to-play games of all genres to consoles, including MMORPGs. Alan Chen, Perfect World CEO, said, "Bringing our titles to consoles is a natural progression for us, and we can't wait to set a new standard for console MMORPGs and other genres."

Blacklight: Retribution, a free-to-play shooter, launched alongside the PlayStation 4 this past November. Perfect World continues to expand its player base with the recently release MMORPG, Neverwinter.
