CS:GO Celebrates Christmas With the Winter Offensive

December 19, 2013 by Ian Miles Cheong

CS:GO is celebrating this Christmas with the release of the Winter Offensive update.

cs go

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is celebrating Christmas with the release of the Winter Offensive update, which includes two new maps, community-made gun skins, and Santa hats.

First and foremost, the update sees the addition of the classic Cobblestone map from the original Counter-Strike, and a brand new map called Overpass. Both maps will be available as a part of Operation Bravo, which players must pay for.

In addition to the maps, players will also have the opportunity to send special gift packages to their fellow players. These will be available in the form of Gift Packages, which provides a random present to a random player on the map, a Pallet of Presents, which gives nine gifts to random players, and finally the Audience Participation Parcel, which gives random items to 25 spectators watching your match.

Check out what else is in store at the official CS:GO Winter Offensive site.
