Shadowplay’s purpose is simple: to capture and save the last half-hour you’ve experienced in a game. Needless to say, Nvidia’s Shadowplay function has been a real boon for video game casters on the PC who wish to share their gameplay experiences with the greater gaming public. The function has been available as a part of the GeForce Experience for a few versions now.
Today, GeForce Experience is being updated to version 1.8.1 and sees the addition of Twitch streaming to ShadowPlay, so you can broadcast your gameplay and commentary live to gamers worldwide, instantly, and without the need for additional capture equipment or software.
"Broadcasting to Twitch has become an integral part of the gaming experience,” said Brooke Van Dusen, Director of Business Development, Twitch. “We're extremely excited to work with NVIDIA to make Twitch live streaming available to GeForce Experience users. ShadowPlay is revolutionary, providing high quality streams with almost no noticeable performance impact for our users.”
