The Elder Scrolls Online changes the benefits of being the highest ranked player by introducing an infinitely elusive armor only a few players will ever equip.
In the Elder Scrolls Online, the highest ranked player of an alliance takes the position as Emperor. When an alliance takes control of the Imperial City, a crowned Emperor gains both special abilities and exclusive armor.
As long as one player remains Emperor of their alliance, they wield the Emperor's armor. The plate mail distinguishes them on the battlefield with its gem filled helmet and unique overall appearance.

The Elder Scrolls Online launches for PC on April 4 and sometime in June for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
