Sony Announces PSP Titles Being Remastered for PS3

May 23, 2011

Sony is remastering PSP-exclusive titles for its PlayStation 3 console, starting with Monster Hunter 3.

Sony is planning to bring PlayStation Portable games to the PlayStation 3 in its new PSP Remaster lineup.

PSP games will be remastered on the PlayStation 3 with HD visuals, Dual Shock 3 control support, 3D support, and PS3-exclusive content.

The PlayStation 3 and PSP versions of the game will share save data, allowing players who own both games to transfer their save data. The games will also be compatible with the console's Ad Hoc Party system for network play.

The series will kick off with the release of Monster Hunter Portable HD on Blu-Ray, featuring 3D support, HD visuals and shared save files. The game is expected to be released in Japan this summer.
