Sony announced today, Quantic Dream’s immersive and emotionally-engaging game, Heavy Rain, will be hitting store shelves as early as next month. Heavy Rain will be available in North America(US & Canada) Feb 23, 2010,
UK Feb 26, 2010 and the rest of Europe Feb 24, 2010.
As earlier mentioned by Sony, those of you who pre-order your copy of Heavy Rain, will receive, a free copy of the first episode of The Heavy Rain Chronicles (valued at $4.99 each episode) titled, Heavy Rain: Chronicle One – The Taxidermist(The Taxidermist will feature investigative journalist Madison Paige in one of her first cases tracking down a serial killer).
The Heavy Chronicles offer stand-alone, playable short stories featuring one of Heavy Rain’s main characters, and a short story line independent of Heavy Rain’s plot progression. Offering a bit of back story on the characters, each episode will offer a unique journey and different outcomes based on the players decisions and actions.
Heavy Rain is the highly anticipated PS3 exclusive developed by Quantic Dream – an emotional thriller where your choices can have dramatic consequences. This is going to be a big game for Sony this year and we can expect the hype machine to be in full throttle very soon so we’ll be on the look out and keep you posted.
