Borderlands 2 Invites Players to Fight a Giant Turkey For Thanksgiving

November 26, 2013 by Ian Miles Cheong

The Wattle Gobbler will have you for lunch.

Vault Hunters, rejoice! Gearbox has released an all new Headhunter DLC for Borderlands 2. that sees players go up against the Ravenous Wattle Gobbler. It's a giant turkey, and it's available now for $2.99 on PC and Mac, as well as Xbox 360 via Xbox Live Marketplace and PS3 through the PlayStation Network.

According to the developer, seasonal festivities are one of the major inspirations behind the Headhunter series. In the second Headhunter add-on, Mr. Torgue hosts a hunger-themed competition to hunt down a giant turkey, the Wattle Gobbler, and selects sacrificial recruits from all of the districts of Pandora to participate. That's you.

Beyond killing a new boss, the small DLC also sees the inclusion of new NPCs, including Mr. Torgue's super buff Grandma Flexington, who we're informed is voiced by a very talented voice actress. New character heads and skins will also be available as symbols of your triumph – provided you’re successful in taking down the Wattle Gobbler, that is.
