Media Molecule may be best known for LittleBigPlanet and the Tearaway franchise however, they have a new upcoming title in the works known as Dreams. Dreams is quite a unique game as it’s more aimed to allow players to create content whether it be artwork to simply full video games for others to enjoy. As a result, it’s gained quite a bit of attention with players though we’ve been waiting for its full release. Now Dreams has officially hit a gold status which means nothing will prevent it from being delayed.
With Dreams, players can create video game mechanics, assets, music, and more. It’s even sparked some really incredible remakes of past video game titles online from those who had access to the beta. Still, we’ve been waiting for the game to reach the marketplace since it was first announced back in 2013. Now that the development studio has taken to Twitter in order to announce that Dreams has reached the fabled gold status.
For those of you who are unaware of reaching gold means, it’s a term used when the game has been completed. Their title is now ready for manufacturing with discs being printed and packaged. Currently, the game is a PlayStation 4 exclusive and it’s slated to launch on February 14, 2020. However, because we are close to the launch of the PlayStation 5, we’re wondering if there are potential updates aimed for the new console and hardware or if there will be limitations on what players can create compared to the upcoming console.
