Ninja Theory Denies Reports That It’s Moving Exclusively to Mobile

November 21, 2013 by Josiah Renaudin

The team behind Heavenly Sword and DmC: Devil May Cry will be doing more than just mobile games in the future.

Ninja Theory, the team behind critical hits like Enslaved: Odyssey to the West and DmC: Devil May Cry, has stamped out the hot rumors that the development house has gone fully mobile. Although the team isn’t confident in the future of next-generation consoles, the official Ninja Theory Twitter account has come out to confirm that phones and tablets aren’t the only pieces of hardware in the company’s future.

The games coming out of the British developer have always been worth checking out, mainly due to their visual and mechanical creativity. Unfortunately, the software hasn’t exactly led to big sales, so it wouldn’t be shocking if the team just decided that smaller games were the way to go. The below Tweet denies a full mobile move, but at this time, it’s unclear what other games are being planned behind closed doors.

Reports today that Ninja Theory are moving to mobile only development are inaccurate.

Could it be another attempt at the Devil May Cry franchise? A second Heavenly Sword game on the PlayStation 4? Who knows, but at least we know that this talented group is doing more than on-the-go experiences.
