Sound Shapes DLC Adds New Sights and Sounds

November 19, 2013 by Andrea Castellano

Sound Shapes adds free levels and sells new DLC.

The Sound Shapes development team wants PlayStation 4 owners to stay busy with their new console, by releasing a new DLC pack for Sound Shapes. The new DLC adds five new levels created by Sony "head honchos," and employees who worked on God of War, Pixel Junk, The Unfinished Swan and Journey.

The free update launches today on the PlayStation Store and also sells two Sound Packs detailed as follows:

The electro funk synthetic voices of the Vocoder Sound Pack

The flute loops and jazz bass of the Old School Sound Pack

The trailer embedded below samples the sounds from each of the Sound Packs.

The update brings even more new content in the form of in-game art assets. The City Art pack adds new buildings, bridges and other urban structures for either a clean city, or destroyed wasteland. The five new levels come free as part of the update, but the new Sound Packs and Art Packs retail for $0.99 each.

Sound Shapes is available on PlayStation 3, PS Vita and PlayStation 4. Thanks to a cross-buy feature, if you own one version of the game, you own them all.
