Another fan going through a game’s code has uncovered secret content that may come out in the future. In this case, the game is Call of Duty Ghosts, and can you guess what was uncovered? DLC weapons.

This comes from Twitter user @syncohboyy, who found it among the multiplayer addresses and strings. Given how the game does mandatory installs, it should be quite easy for Activision to set this up. Now, let’s take a look at the names and see what we can gleam from them. We can't consider these 100 % confirmed at the moment, but at the very least, it should be fun to figure out what Infinity Ward has in mind for us.
Several of the metadata start with the letters ch_dlcweap02, and then give us the names of the silencer, thermal, tracker, xmags, and fmj.
The silencer is pretty straightforward. For thermal, they may be referring to the thermal scope, which shows heat signatures. Tracker is probably the tracker sight, which has both an integrated iron sight and can highlight and track down enemies. xmags must refer to extended magazines, which allow magazines to hold more bullets. Finally, fmj refers to Full Metal Jacket, another attachment that makes bullets more effective at penetrating surfaces
For ch_dlcweap03, the names listed are silencer, thermal, vzscope and xmags. Vzscope here must refer to the variable zoom scope, which allows you to use different levels of zoom in one attachment.
Finally, ch_dlcweap04 is the biggest of the bunch, with the names eotech, fmj, gl, hybrid, reflex, rof, shotgun and silencer. The thermal hybrid scope allows players to switch between the thermal scope and holographic sight. Eotech may mean the EOTech Sight, aka the Holographic Sight. Reflex must mean the reflex sight, which is very similar to the Red Dot Sight. Shotgun is possibly the Masterkey Shotgun, which gives one shot kills.
ROF was hard to decipher, but presuming this refers to rate of fire, this may be referring to the Rapid Fire attachment, which increases rate of fire.
So, all the uncovered DLC seem to refer to attachments and not actual guns. Of course, we see some of the items are listed multiple times, and I suspect these particular attachments have upgrades themselves.
