We have a brilliant strategy to make sure players don’t camp on the roof when playing Battlefield 4’s Rush Mode. A word of warning: this will upset your opponents, but you will be a hero to your teammates.
Rush Mode is a scaled down mode, focusing on more straightforward confrontations than strategy. One team defends M-COM stations, while the opposing team is the attacker.
Ideally, players on the defense team should be playing sniper. It’s an appropriate role for them. Players in the attacking team who snipe are taking advantage, because by design, they get to respawn faster. The opportunity for abuse comes in here because they can just camp on the roof.
So, assuming you’re playing defense, and you have the UH-1Y Venom, this is what you do. You skip any enemies on the ground and go straight up to the rooftops of the tallest buildings. Go to the chat and tell everyone to ‘Spawn on Venom.’ When they show up, you don’t use your weapons to take them out. You physically shove them off the roof by moving your copter sideways in such a way that they get dragged off the roof.
No one will camp on the roof, and subsequently, you are actually near guaranteed you won’t lose a Rush Mode game. Of course, you’ll have to keep your guard for vengeful players coming back with big guns, but if you evade well enough, you can take those players out and just keep going indefinitely. Ultimately, this is about discouraging camping from any side, so that players can focus on playing Rush Mode the way it was intended.
And yes, this will work. Check out the video below.
