Microsoft seems to have used footage from the PlayStation 4 version of Watch_Dogs in a video which appeared on the Xbox YouTube channel.
While the video has been up for months now viewers have discovered something amiss: The first controller option, 'Analyze', has the command X which you will find on an Xbox controller but the Exit option seems to be a circle, which you won't. You will however find a red circle button on a DualShock PlayStation controller.
According to Reddit, Microsoft edited the video to alter the controller options for Xbox commands but the above image made its way around the internet causing them to pull the video.
While it's possible this is all a ruse by Sony fans it seems somewhat unlikely if Microsoft pulled the video. It's possible Ubisoft provided Microsoft with the same footage as Sony and someone at Redmond made the mistake of not omitting the controls from view.
This wouldn't be the first time Microsoft has mistakenly used PlayStation products to promte the Xbox One. Back in June the Dutch Windows Facebook page posted a screenshot of PS4 exclusive Killzone: Shadow Fall.
Microsoft has said that the Xbox One will look completely different in five years; who knows? Maybe it will have PlayStation controls by then.
Watch_Dogs is set to launch in Spring 2014.
