Los Santos Customs Upgrades Raising GTA 5 Car Top Speed and Acceleration, Confirmed

An investigatory video comes up with proof the car upgrades are worth spending the dough for online races.

We have a video for Grand Theft Auto 5 that investigates what car upgrades improve your acceleration in Los Santos Customs.

You may have already noticed that the acceleration bar in any high end vehicle basically maxes out when you install a turbo. Therefore, purchasing other car upgrades does not seem to provide any discernible advantage, at least if you believe the information in Los Santos Customs.

This video then proves the point by doing some time trials on one car experiencing different upgrades.

So, for the first test shows a car with upgraded turbo can go between 7 to 8 minutes in a short distance, with a median of 7:28 minutes. In the long distance trials, it averages between 18 to 19 minutes.

Afterwards, the car is brought back to Los Santos Customs to upgrade the car’s engine, transmission, suspension, etc. After full upgrades, it was proven that the upgrade has cut down the short distance trial time by a full second, and the long distance trial time by one to two minutes.

Therefore, maximizing the car upgrades provides a clear improvement in terms of acceleration and top speed, although you may not see that much of an advantage in short distances. However, if you use the car for online races, it will make all the difference in the world.
