When the first NBA 2K14 next-generation teaser went live, I labeled it as little more than smoke and mirrors. Really, how could a PS4 or Xbox One game look that good? The following image still left me skeptical, but the official “OMG” trailer is what finally made me a believer. At this point, nothing looks much better than the sports title that 2K Games will be pushing out during the launches of new hardware this November, and fresh screens that come from the game’s Facebook page further solidify NBA 2K14 as a visual giant.
Kevin Durant, Kobe Bryant, and a few other basketball greats can all be seen in their next-gen glory above, and once again, it’s amazing to see just how far the team has come since the Xbox 360 and PS3 games released in early October. The facial detail and authenticity of the jerseys is beyond anything that’s come out of the studio up to this point, and hopefully this is the type of presentation we can expect from all next-gen sports games.
If you’re interested in picking up the new and improved NBA 2K14, look for the game to hit the PS4 and Xbox One during both of their respective launches.
