Fable Legends aims to expand its narrative over the course of a year by releasing new episodic content.
When speaking with IGN, game director at Lionhead, David Eckelberry, drew comparisons to seasons and episodes of a television show.
"We don't want Fable Legends to stop when you finish the game. You should think about seasons and episodes. Fable Legends might just be Season One and we can add new quests and stories in the future, in the form of DLC for example."
Lionhead previously expressed their long-term plan for Fable Legends by sharing their desire to create a game that would last five to 10 years after launch.
Players can participate in the Fable Legends development with a beta planned for 2014.
