The Coalition Charts Out The Next 6 Months For Gears 5

Sep 13, 2019 Dennis Patrick

Take a look at what’s to come.

Gears 5 recently just launched and if you think the development team over at The Coalition is taking a break from the IP after the long development process it took for them to just deliver the base game, then you’re mistaken. In fact, a new blog post from the official Gears 5 website offers some insight of what’s to come and for starters, as you likely already expected, it’s a race to work out any of the bugs and hiccups that are being reported to the studio. However, we do know that there is plenty more substantial content coming to the game that’s not directly patched to fix any bugs.

The big content releases in Gears 5 are being dubbed Operations and there’s a total of two being displayed right. Each Operation will provide players with content over the span of three months before the next Operation hits. As it stands right now we’re on the first Operation which we will provide a breakdown of what all that entails along with the second Operation that starts in December of this year.

Operation #1 Breakdown
  • 4 New Characters With Unique Abilities
  • Weekly Events, Supply Content, Escape Hives
  • 200+ Customization Items
Operation #2 Breakdown
  • New Versus Modes
  • New Maps, Escape Hives, Map Builder Tiles
  • New Characters With Unique Abilities
  • Weekly Events, Supply Content, Escape Hives
  • 200+ Customization Items

As it appears, there is a ton of content coming out over the next half year and there’s potential for even more to come after that. We only have the two Operations so far listed down, but depending on the players that continue to log in and enjoy the game may determine just how much more content is pushed into the game before The Coalition start to really divert their attention into the next big project.
