Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Story Trailer Inbound?

September 4, 2019 by Dennis Patrick

Ok, sounds good.

[Update] New road map charts when premiere will launch.

The Call of Duty franchise doesn’t get any shortages of video game titles released yearly. While some titles are a bit more hyped than others, there is no getting around the fact that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is receiving a ton of attention. From development studio, Infinity Ward, a new video game is set to launch in 2019 and it’s said to be a soft reboot of the Modern Warfare series. After having three installments, the subseries is going to offer players a new take to the terrorist fighting campaign.

Since its announcement, we’ve seen plenty of talk and footage regarding the multiplayer aspect of this game. What we haven’t seen is anything really in regards to the narrative campaign Infinity Ward plans on taking players through.

That’s not to say Infinity Ward hasn’t hyped up the game. We do know that this is a soft-reboot, as we mentioned earlier, but one of the key elements Infinity Ward has been using for this upcoming installment is the No Russian mission. If you’re a fan of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series then you should instantly know what we’re referring about. No Russian was a highly controversial game mission within Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 that put players into the role of an undercover operative. In order to gain access to a terrorist cell, players were tasked with taking out innocent civilians within an airport.

Ok, sounds good.

Naturally, as you would expect, this got a ton of attention with the media. It was a dark mission and set an emotional tone which is something that we may see plenty of throughout Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Apparently, Infinity Ward is looking to bring in plenty of big and emotional moments for players to endure through. One Twitter user reached out to studio narrative director for Infinity Ward, Taylor Kurosaki, and asked about a story trailer for the game in which Taylor simply replied “Ok, sounds good.” which may indicate a trailer is inbound.

With Call of Duty: Modern Warfare launching next month, it doesn’t come to much surprise that the game is bound to receive some additional footage and information for players. Just when we’ll receive this story trailer remains to be seen, but gamers can prepare for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare on October 25, 2019, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
