Former Nintendo of America President Will Soon Lecture At Cornell University

September 3, 2019 by Dennis Patrick

Reggie Fils-Aime becomes the Leader in Residence.

When it comes to Nintendo, there are a few notable employees such as Nintendo of America, Reggie Fils-Aime who has been around publicly for years. A number of gamers looked up to Reggie as he brought out exciting news in regards to what was coming down the pipeline from Nintendo, but earlier this year, Reggie stepped down. After putting several years into the job, as Doug Bowser stepped up to become the next Nintendo of America president. Retirement for Reggie didn’t last too long as we now know that his next venture is taking him to Cornell.

Cornell University is a prestigious school and with it comes the Dyson Leadership Program which will invite notable leaders to work with the school and students for a year. The school reached out and spoke with Reggie who previously attended the school. Now it appears the former Nintendo of America president is going to offer his insight and knowledge from his year’s experience to a group of students.

This program will allow Reggie to mentor students one-on-one while also conducting small group discussions and public lectures. It will certainly be quite the experience for students to learn from Reggie, a highly regarded member of the video game industry along with having years of experience to offer the next generation of leaders. Now we’re sure that there are bound to be plenty of interested gamers wishing to head back to school and take a class with Reggie leading, but luckily there are lectures that will be open to the public for those interested. The first is said to take place at Cornell University’s Dyson School Of Applied Economics and Management. With that said, don’t expect any new game title announcements or Mario appearances.
