Drakengard 3 Soars Onto the PlayStation 3 in 2014

October 9, 2013 by Ian Miles Cheong

Drakengard 3 is set for a 2014 release exclusively on the PlayStation 3.

Square Enix has announced that Drakengard 3 is headed to the PlayStation 3 sometime in 2014. Players take on the role of a character named Zero, the eldest of six Intoner sisters, all of whom wield magical powers. Interestingly enough, Zero is on a quest to murder her five younger sisters with the help of her pet dragon, Mikhail.

Designed as an RPG, Drakengard 3 is set as a prequel to the original Drakengard that launched on the PlayStation 2 way back in 2003.

Composer Keichi Okabe, who scored Nier, will be providing the score for Drakengard 3.

The game is slated for release exclusively on the PlayStation 3 and is currently available as a pre-order title through the Square Enix store. The game will be available as a digital title upon release in Europe and the US.

Further details can be found on the official website here.
