Steam Greenlights 30 New Titles

October 3, 2013 by Ryan Parreno

After Shadow of The Eternals was placed on hold, however, this does not seem to guarantee games will get funded and made.

Steam Greenlight has certainly come a long way since its launch over a year ago now. Today, Valve revealed a new batch of 32 titles (mostly, but not all, video games) that have passed Steam Greenlight.  As always, they do not say these titles are going to be released at the same time, just that they have will talk to Valve about funding and development.

These titles cover the range of popular indie genres, including the prerequisite Metroidvanias, roguelikes, and RPGs. Many also go through the motions with popular indie conventions, like voxel graphics, free to play, randomization, permadeath, browser games, etc. One is even an entire app store. There are also niche titles presumably unfeasible for the big AAAs to produce, such as atmospheric horror Fibrillation, Fantasy Grounds, a virtual RPG tabletop, and cooperative starship simulator PULSAR: Lost Colony.

Listed below is each approved title, with developer name in brackets. You know the drill: if you have a pet indie waiting for Greenlight approval, just hit Ctrl + F and enter the name.

You can look up the prior list of 100 approved Steam Greenlight titles here. I do have to wonder, considering Shadow of the Eternals made that list, but ultimately was put on hold, if Greenlight is the guarantee a game is getting the funding it needs at all.
