Pokemon Go Reached A Billion Downloads

August 1, 2019 by Dennis Patrick

Gotta catch ‘em all!

Pokemon Go was a massive worldwide phenomenon when it released into the market. Overall, the game was simple, you went out into the public in search of Pokemon. The game and concept were so popular that everyone young and old were out in the wild looking for these virtual creatures to pop up. You didn’t have to play the games to enjoy the mobile title and while it seems that there have been some players to have dropped the game, there is still a massive amount of people enjoying it today.

It was almost impossible not to head outside and see people looking at their smartphones as they attempted to find new Pokemon in the wild or capturing gyms. In a lot of ways, this was a fun adventure for friends and families. Likewise, it was a great way to head outside and enjoy some new locations or revisit some parks. There’s a good amount of players still enjoying the game as the developers have been adding new Pokemon and events for players to enjoy.

Today we’re finding out that there has been over a billion downloads for this game. After it launched three years ago, the video game has amassed a ton of downloads and it’s not slowing down. Reaching a billion downloads is not easy, but it does help that the game is completely free so there are no stopping players from trying the game out. With that said, if you haven’t tried the game out yet, you can download a free copy for both iOS and Android smartphones.
