Capcom Reveals Dragon’s Dogma Story Details

Capcom has released details of the characters in their upcoming fantasy-themed action game Dragon's Dogma.

The story begins when a nameless character residing in the village of Cassidis encounters a dragon, who then burns the village into cinders and calls you the "chosen one." 

The dragon then rips the heart from the chest of the character and brings him back to life as a "kakusha," or "enlightened one." The point of the story at this point is to slay the dragon who took his life. 

In addition to the game's protagonist, Capcom has also released introductions to four named characters. 

Kina, the first of the four, is your childhood friend. Gentle but strong willed, she deeply cares for the main character. 

Adaro is the chief of Cassidis, and plays a fatherly role to both you and Kina.

King Edmon is an aged hero who once slew a dragon, bringing peace to the peninsula. He resides in Gran Soren castle, and has been rebuilding his armies to counter the onslaught of dragons.

Eleanor, the king's third wife, has no interest in castle life and yearns for adventure. 

In the game, the player will make their way to Gran Soren castle, where he (or she) will undertake a quest from the King.
