GTA 5: Five Ways to Escape 5 Star Wanted Levels

September 29, 2013 by Ryan Parreno

Escape the pain of relentless police chases.

Grand Theft Auto 5’s 5 Star Wanted Levels are a pain to get away from. Some people have even complained that Rockstar has ruined some of the fun in the game, by making it undesirable to mess with the police in general.

Still, if you’re reading this, you’re likely looking for help to pass through these parts of the game, so here are five ways to keep the fuzz off your tail once they come looking for it:

  1. Jump onto a moving train and hide in one of the open air bus. You can even snipe people from a distance when you can get yourself in this position. Now, the trick is how to get on in the first place, but it’s really not that hard. Walk up to it as it starts passing by you from side on. Then, jump towards it from a very close distance. If you do it right, you should get on easily, and getting off is the same. You will also want to be wary of choppers, who can get at you even when you’re in cover mode.
  2. Run into a subway and drop 20 tear gas canisters behind you.
  3. Did you get yourself into a 5 star while in proximity of a fighter jet? Just parachute into one and take off. Apparently, this may not work for everyone, but it’s worth a try.
  4. If you’re in a vehicle, you yourself can drive into a train tunnel and lose the cops that way. This may be a glitch, so no guarantees it will work forever.
  5. If you’re in a Rhino tank, you can get away with it if you can stay in there for 10 minutes. Now, keep in mind that three minutes of small arms fire can actually destroy a Rhino, but if you keep its most vulnerable spot – the rear – out of harm’s way, say, by parking it, you will be completely safe.
