Resident Evil 5 & 6 Is Heading To Nintendo Switch This October

July 17, 2019 by Dennis Patrick

Two more Resident Evil titles are being tossed onto the Nintendo Switch platform.

Since the Nintendo Switch launched, Capcom has been adding the Resident Evil installments to the console. While not every game from the franchise is available, we can add two more titles to the console platform later this year. Announced through the official Resident Evil Twitter account, Capcom alerted the world that Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 will be making their Nintendo Switch debut and just in time for the Halloween holiday. Now you can enjoy some scares while on the go.

The Resident Evil franchise has been beloved for decades. Ever since its initial release on the original PlayStation, fans have been enjoying the survival horror franchise. Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 launched during last generation platforms and it loses out on some of the original survival horror gameplay that the series was originally known for. While the game titles are not the most well-received from fans of the original installments, they both did well in terms of units sold.

Pack your bags – Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 start their globetrotting adventure on Nintendo Switch on October 29th!

Currently, Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 will be launching on October 29, 2019. Much like the original release, it seems that the co-op function will remain a part of the games. While you can enjoy the games separately, Capcom will be launching a bundle pack which will toss in Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 5, and Resident Evil 6. In other news regarding the franchise, fans have recently created an HD texture pack for Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. At the moment, Capcom has yet to make any announcement of the third main Resident Evil installment, but with the massive success they had with Resident Evil 2, we’re sure it’s already come up during meetings at the development studio.
