Update: Nintendo has officially confirmed release date on their official Twitter account. As it turns out, the leak was wrong, but only by a couple weeks. The official release of Luigi’s Mansion 3 will be on October 31, 2019.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 is a highly anticipated video game release for the Nintendo Switch and marks the third installment to the Luigi’s Mansion franchise. The video game title was shown off during E3 2019 during Nintendo’s E3 direct upload but we didn’t get any specific details about when the title will launch into the market. Well that may have just been unveiled early by Amazon and if it’s true, we may see this game launch within October of this year. Of course, because Nintendo has not made an official statement on the matter, we’ll have to label this as a rumor, for the time being.
Luigi’s Mansion 3 takes place after the events of Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, where Luigi and his friends are invited to a luxurious hotel. However, it turns out that King Boo was using this hotel as a trap to capture the Mushroom Kingdom gang. Once again, it’s up to Luigi to use his cunning and Poltergust equipment to save the day. As mentioned, the game was only slated to release in the holiday season but we didn’t get any specific release date as to when it will release into the market. That was until recently when A new leak has come out from Amazon Mexico that states the video game would be releasing on October 4, 2019, which is after the upcoming launch of the Nintendo Switch Lite.
The game release leak was spotted by Resetera user MrCafecito who also made mention that in the past Amazon Mexico had previously leaked other video game title release dates correctly ahead of their reveals so while it’s purely a rumor, it could be credible. This would line up well for both the launch of the Nintendo Switch Lite along with the upcoming holiday season.
In the meantime, we’ll have to wait and see just what Nintendo officially announces when it comes Luigi’s Mansion 3’s release date. For now, you can take a look at the latest trailer for the game posted above.
