Techland has today announced Edyn's Escapse, an interactive movie prequel to Hellraid, the events of which take place two weeks before the game.
Edyn’s Escape uses the environments and items available during gameplay while the game sees players fighting the forces of Hell for the very survival of mankind.
Hellraid offers a story-driven single player camapign coupled with hack and slash action. Multiplayer which is said to involve "unique, competitive cooperation" allows up to four players to take on the armies of hell in a "battle for points, rewards and fame".
The game is scheduled for a 2013 release on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and you can check out the first part of Edyn's Escape below.
Techland is also the developer of Dead Island and the Polish developer will be bringing pretty much what you expect from the zombie sage to Hellraid although you'll be up against demons and hell hounds this time. You can find out more about the game here.
