Kojima Productions have made the special announcement today that their highly anticipated title, Death Stranding will be released November 8, 2019 on the PlayStation 4.

Yes, Death stranding is set to release this year, which is absolutely crazy! The announcement comes from an 8-minute long trailer which showcases a blend of story, gameplay, and the world of which Kojima created.

Death Stranding has been quiet for the past couple of years with minimal showings at E3 and gaming conventions, but it seems that Kojima and his team managed to knock it out the park as the game is already set to release.

Kojima took to the PlayStation Blog to write a special message about the game. He talks about the game and a little more about the game’s plot, make sure to check it out down below:

People have created “Walls” and become accustomed to living in isolation.

“Death Stranding” is a completely new type of action game, where the goal of the player is to reconnect isolated cities and a fragmented society. It is created so that all elements, including the story and gameplay, are bound together by the theme of the “Strand” or connection. As Sam Porter Bridges, you will attempt to bridge the divides in society, and in doing create new bonds or “Strands” with other players around the globe. Through your experience playing the game, I hope you’ll come to understand the true importance of forging connections with others.
