Jeff Ross Game Director at Bend Studio for the highly anticipated PS4 exclusive title, Days Gone, took to the PlayStation Blog to announce that the game will have free DLC, and it will start with an intense survival mode!

This is a huge plus for the game, as players will be treated with free content to extend the game’s longevity! Starting in June, players will be treated to a slew of new challenges and a new intense survival mode that will have players testing their skill.

Jeff Ross goes into some more detail about the upcoming free DLC, which you can check out down below:

‘Survival’ difficulty mode tests players by daring them to beat the story with increased difficulty settings, no fast travel or Survival Vision, and an immersive HUD that removes maps and indicators from the gameplay screen. Every tweak and change made is designed to further immerse players and ratchet up the tension to make this the definitive survival experience.

Each week beginning in June, a new Bike, Horde, or Combat challenge will be deployed to test players even further. These challenges take key gameplay features of Days Gone, and twists them in unique ways to earn additional items and rewards. We’ll give you more information on the specific challenges down the road.

In related news, Sony has released a new trailer for their upcoming exclusive post-apocalyptic title, Days Gone. The newest trailer focuses on the infected predators that will roam around the world of the titular game, make sure to check it out the new trailer right here before the game releases later this week.

Days Gone is set to release exclusively for the PS4 on April 26. Are you excited about the upcoming title? Let us know in the comments below!
