In another all-too-convenient slip-up, Nintendo accidentally leaks a trailer for upcoming Pokemon cartoons. Noteworthily, however, the trailer also revealed a new Nintendo registered url, Catchemall.com, way too early.
As reported by GoNintendo, this trailer came up on the official Pokemon YouTube channel and was just as suddenly removed (likely made private to be shared again in the near future). The video was originally labeled as a trailer for the upcoming movie Pokemon The Movie: Genesect and the Legends Awakened. This movie special, in turn, is a lead in for the latest Pokemon cartoon, Pokemon The Series: XY. Not coincidentally, the movie will be showing in US and UK television on October 19, a week after Pokemon X and Y is released, and will immediately be followed by two episodes of the new TV show.
Thanks to other trailers and other previously revealed information, we already know that this upcoming Pokemon movie will feature Mewtwo in his Mega Evolution form, facing off against a small army of Genesects. The new series, in turn, will be set in Kalos.
At the end of the trailer, we get an ostentatious glowing green banner telling us to go to Gottacatchemall.com. I can tell you that said URL does not have a website up on it for now, but the domain has definitely been taken.
Nintendo’s big plans for Pokemon definitely extend beyond the games, to cartoons, toys and other media. The question that pops up now is what is the URL Catchemall.com going to be used for? Will it be strictly a page to help promote the cartoon? Could this be the future site for Pokemon Bank? Did Nintendo really leak this trailer by accident? While you ponder these questions for yourself, you can check out the film trailer below:
