The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD Sails into HD Waters

September 5, 2013 by Andrea Castellano

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD gameplay.

To continue showing graphical improvements of the GameCube Zelda title, Nintendo released a brief video of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD will arrive inside a Wii U bundle later this year for brand new Wii U owners. For the veteran Wii U owners, The Wind Waker HD will launch on October 4th and include a first-person perspective and Hero Mode.

Instead of the third-person perspective of most Zelda titles, Wind Waker HD will include a first-person mode for both combat and exploration. To further increase the difficulty for Zelda masochists or those already familiar with the game, Hero Mode increases the lethality of enemies and even eliminates hearts gathered from the environment. The video below will explain the newly added Hero Mode.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD will launch on October 4th and digitally with the newly priced $299 Wii U.
