Mortal Kombat McFarlane Figures Inbound?

February 14, 2019 by Dennis Patrick

Finish Him!

If you enjoy figures or toys at all then you might know about McFarlane Toys. This company has been around for a number of years and it really pushes to envelope when it comes to the pure fine details along with aesthetics. Really, there are plenty of fans out there that would say that McFarlane Toys are works of art. It’s not often that we talk about toys or figurines here at Gameranx, but it’s worth pointing out that the company is known for working on a variety of franchises which includes video games.

While we don’t know for sure, it’s pretty evident that during this weekend’s Toy Fair expo, we will see McFarlane Toys deliver a Mortal Kombat line. This comes from a small teaser with McFarlane Toys’ official Facebook page where the company released an image that simply showcased a “Finish Him” phrase. The phrase is iconic and known from the Mortal Kombat series and this would time up with the upcoming Mortal Kombat 11 video game release.

Mortal Kombat 11takes place after the events of Mortal Kombat X and it seems that the narrative will focus on time manipulation. Apparently, we will be seeing a variety of costumes and characters across past video game installments, though the fine details have yet been fully unveiled. Regardless, this title has already become a massively anticipated release that is due out in April of this year. Perhaps this could mean that the figures from McFarlane Toy will feature a variety of character designs but that’s purely speculation on our part.

For now, we will have to wait until the Toy Fair before we can find out what the company has in store for gamers. As for Mortal Kombat 11, the video game is slated to launch on April 23, 2019, for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. However, the title is also slated to launch shortly after for the Nintendo Switch.
