Saints Row 4 Takes Over UK Charts

August 27, 2013 by Stephen Daly

Splinter Cell: Blacklist comes in second.

Volition's Saints Row 4 has assumed top place on the UK charts ahead of Ubisoft's Splinter Cell: Blacklist. The Bureau: XCOM Declassified launched in 10th spot while Wii U exclusive The Wonderful 101 come in at 22.

This week also saw the release of Disney Infinity which launched in third place.

The game's sales fell short of those of its predecessor, Saints Row: The Third, but still represents the fourth biggest launch of the year so far coming in behind Tomb Raider, BioShock Infinite and The Last of Us. It also marks publisher Deep Silver's third game at the top of the charts in 2013, a feat only matched by EA.

The full top ten for the week is: Saint Row 4 (1), Splinter Cell: Blacklist (2), Disney Infinity (3), Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, (4) Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (5), FIFA 13 (6), Animal Crossing: New Leaf (7), LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes (8), The Last of Us (9), The Bureau: XCOM Declassified (10).
