Zelda: The Wind Waker HD Includes First-Person Perspective, Hero Mode

August 26, 2013 by Andrea Castellano

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD Hero Mode increases difficulty.

For the holiday release of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, the remastered GameCube title will also include a Hero Mode for increased difficulty and first-person perspective for Link.

Hero Mode in The Wind Waker HD will double the damage of all enemies in addition to the removal of hearts found within the environment likes tall grass or pots. To regain health, players must consume health potions. If the challenge proves too daunting, players can toggle Hero Mode on and off at the save file selection screen.

To provide some incentive for old players to return, The Wind Waker HD will include a first-person perspective option that strays away from the franchise's historical use of either overhead or third-person camera perspectives. The first-person perspective will work both in combat and while roaming the environments.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD will launch this fall on the Nintendo Wii U.
