Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus Gameplay Demos Ratchet’s New Weapons

August 21, 2013 by Andrea Castellano

Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus gameplay from gamescom.

After a strange announcement earlier this month, Insomniac Games brought Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus along to demo at gamescom.

Most recent Ratchet entries strayed away from the single player games to offer a cooperative experience. While those games still include the wide ranging variety of weapons that Ratchet fans love to continuously experiment with, the co-op levels funnelled player down a very linear path.

Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus returns to the traditional level design of single player Ratchet games and brings some new weapons along as well. The Grav Tether creates a gravity beam so people jump into and easily cross large gaps.  When Ratchet arrives at his destination, he can take on multiple paths as opposed to the strict linearity of games like Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One.

In the above video you will see Ratchet's new weapons like the Winterizer, Grav Boots and Vortex Grenade.

Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus will launch on the PlayStation 3 this fall for $29.99.
